Graphical Construction – A parallel line through a point and equal divisions on a line.

Dividing a line into equal divisions.

Dividing a line into equal divisions.

A new graphical construction video was posted tonight. This shows how to make parallel lines through points and that procedure is used to divide a line into equal parts.

These procedures are published in several books and were taught back in the days when hand drafting was taught. However, I have also found these procedures in a modern book called Machinery’s Handbook  by Industry Press.
The main book I am finding this is called Basic Graphics by Warren J Luzadder, but these can probably found in any good graphics book at a library.

We have a few more basic graphical construction to go through and then I will show some good examples of the uses for these procedures.
